Club Changeover 29 June 2016

Phil & Gil Changeover
Over seventy people attended the Port Macquarie Rotary Club’s 68th President’s Changeover dinner at Pier 1,  Panthers Club including our District Governor Ian Jackson & Barbara, PDG Barry & Bronwyn Hacker & other special guests. President Phil was honoured for a great year, raising more than $30,000 plus $11,000 for the CSU students Red & Black Ball project for defibrillators into the community. Pres Phil presented $13,000 in cheques to 13 worthy community projects & organisations.
One of the most moving hi-lights of the evening was the presentation of a posthumous Paul Harris Fellow to Richard Gander’s widow Di.
Incoming President Gil Padarin-Innes introduced her new board & said she was looking forward to a very positive year for our club. Gil noted two milestones in the coming year – the 100th Anniversary of the Rotary Foundation & also the possibility that in 2017 there will be ZERO reports of POLIO, a success from Rotary & World Health
