70th Changeover Celebration

ROTARY CLUB OF PORT MACQUARIE… At last night’s Changeover meeting, President John thanked the previous Board & club members for a very successful year. Raising over $45,000 which was donated to various groups & charities – some major recipients were $5000 towards a Hospital in Nepal; $2000 to Debbie’s Dunnies in Nepal; $5000 to Rotary Lodge; $1000 each to the Marine Rescue, Hastings Education Fund, PMQ Surf Club, Mininbah Project & Endeavor House. $12,840 to the Rotary Community Centre + $2733 towards the Pink Lady’s Buggy at the Hospital.
The club celebrated it’s 70th Anniversary with a grand occasion on May 23rd & launched a pictorial history of the club SEVENTY YEARS OF ‘SERVICE ABOVE SELF’”. The Youth program under Diana Gammon was a huge success & Ray White’s contribution as he steps down from Rotary 43 yrs. _{(Article & Photograph by Kerry Medway)}
