Another inspiring poetry night, organised by our Youth Director Diana Gammon.

Three outstanding young poets & one of our local poet laureate’s – Bessie Jennings.

Bessie spoke on the value of poetry & recited two poems she has written “The Chinese-Irishman” & “Aussies?” before introducing the three young poets from McKillop & Hastings Secondary Colleges. The students shared a poem they had written those present were blown-way by the talent of these youngsters. The club presented both schools with a cheque for $300 for entering the Dorothea Mackellar competition & each school having 30 entries in the poetry comp.
